Its not “You are what you eat”

It’s “you are what you can digest…and what you can absorb”

“Your body hears everything your mind says”.

About Me

I am passionate about the science of the workings of the human body, and this is what gave me the tools to take control of my own and my family’s health. Central to my approach is education so that my clients are likewise empowered with information and knowledge to continue their health journey without me once they move on after our collaboration.

I love this work as it brings together the intellectual challenge of figuring out the complexities of biochemistry with the immensely rewarding opportunity to make meaningful positive changes to people’s lives, which is what good health can bring.

Finally, I am very happily married; I am a keen cyclist, horse rider, pianist, garden grower, and I love everything to do with food…….

How I Use AI in My Practice

I understand that the use of artificial intelligence can raise questions, especially when it relates to your health.

AI does not diagnose, prescribe or make decisions about your care. Every aspect of your programme remains under my professional oversight, and every recommendation is based on my training, clinical experience and careful consideration of your individual circumstances.

I use carefully selected AI tools to support certain aspects of my work. They help me prepare clear, thorough and timely information, but they do not replace professional judgement or the relationship between practitioner and client.

Supporting Evidence-Informed Practice

I use AI-assisted scholarly research tools to help me locate, organise and review relevant published research.

I review the original sources and consider their quality, relevance and application before allowing them to inform an intervention. AI supports this research process, but it does not replace critical appraisal, clinical reasoning or my responsibility for the advice I provide.

Supporting Consultations and Follow-Up

With your knowledge and consent, AI may be used to assist with note-taking during consultations.

A consultation may last 60 or 90 minutes and cover a considerable amount of information. Although manual notes are taken, it can be difficult for either the client or practitioner to recall every detail afterwards.

More comprehensive notes allow me to provide you with a clearer record of what we discussed, the explanations given and the actions we agreed upon. I believe this can be of considerable benefit to both client and practitioner.

I remain responsible for reviewing the notes and ensuring that the final report accurately reflects our consultation.

Creating Personalised Resources

AI may also assist me with:

  • Creating tailored educational materials based on your health goals;
  • Drafting supplement summaries or dietary suggestions under my direction;
  • Organising clinical notes for my internal use; and
  • Presenting complex health and nutritional information in a clear and accessible way.

All materials are reviewed and adapted by me before they are shared with you. AI does not make autonomous clinical decisions or determine your programme.

Protecting Your Information

I minimise the personal information shared with AI tools and remove direct identifiers wherever possible.

Where the use of AI involves clinical health information, I will explain how it is being used and obtain your explicit consent. I select AI providers and settings that offer appropriate security and data-processing safeguards.

Your information remains subject to my professional, ethical and data-protection responsibilities.
